SfEPWiki

Welcome to the SfEPWiki, the semi-official knowledge base created and updated by members of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP).

The SfEPWiki home page can be read by anyone, but you must be a member of SfEP for full access (whether full member, associate or corporate). If you have membership of the SfEP, please register for an account on here and an admin will approve you as quickly as possible. You must use your own first name and surname plus the email address you use for the SfEP. You do NOT need to fill in the personal info section at this stage, but please note that our wiki policy does not permit lengthy CV-style biographies as we have the Directory for that.

Once access has been approved, you are free to update any of these pages with any information you think will be of interest to other members. You can also create new pages on relevant topics - just be sure to link them properly so others can find them.

Pages with information on them have blue links and empty pages have red links. These will change to a different shade if you have clicked on the link and visited that page.

Editing pages is very easy. For information about formatting, see Wikipedia's Cheat Sheet. For more in-depth information on using wiki software, we suggest you consult the User's Guide. There is also a comprehensive help section within this wiki that explains everything in simple language.

If you still get stuck, you can do one of the following: consult the FAQ; post a question on Ask Admin; or leave a message for one of the admins on the Talk page of their profile. Please do NOT email the admins privately.
